We believe that it is the responsibility of the whole community to keep children safe. Child abuse can be prevented and each one of us can play a role in the fight against it. Everyone who comes into contact with a child has responsibility for keeping them safe. Working together we can build up a full picture of a child’s needs and circumstances and provide prompt support when needed. Nothing is more important than a child’s welfare. Partnership working can help reduce children’s vulnerability to abuse or stop it happening in the first place. If you or your organisation is interested in engaging Safe Strong and Free to provide any of our workshops or would like any further guidance,  please don’t hesitate to contact our team for more information here.

If you are concerned that a child may be at risk of harm from abuse or neglect then please contact your Local Family Team. If you are worried that a child is at immediate risk of harm then phone the Police without delay.

SSF’s Programme Evaluation

In 2017 SSF commissioned the Centre for Child Wellbeing and Protection (CCWP) at the University of Stirling to evaluate our programme.

The evaluation was carried out by Tanya Beetham, Research Assistant at CCWP, under the supervision of Prof. Jane Callaghan, CCWP Director. Tanya is an experienced researcher and a member of the Scottish Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme which ensures that only suitable people are allowed to work with children and/or protected adults.
