Rights and Respect Project
Some children face pressures linked to control, inequality, or harmful traditions that can undermine their safety and wellbeing. The Rights and Respect project helps to address these issues through education and community engagement, ensuring young people understand their rights and the importance of mutual respect in all relationships.
What's involved?
Workshops focus on healthy friendships, consent, and equality, while teachers and community leaders receive guidance to support safe, inclusive environments. We are proud to be working with Inverness Masjid, whose guidance ensures the project is culturally sensitive, faith-aware, and respectful, while keeping safeguarding at the heart of everything we do. Rights and Respect seeks to create lasting cultural change, so that every child in the Highlands grows up respected, confident, and safe.
